Blog, Smoothies 0 comments

Smoothies are becoming more and more popular nowadays and it’s easy to see why. The combination of being quick and easy to make, their portability (no more skipped breakfasts!) and their potential health benefits are just some of the reasons you should consider jumping on the smoothie bandwagon! When on family vacation in the Okanagan, you might be busy doing all of the activities, this smoothie is perfect for you to carry wherever you go.

Loaded with potassium and vitamin C this Banana and berry smoothie is a good combination of nutrition and flavor.

Even better, it only takes 5 minutes to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 banana (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 cup of frozen raspberries
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of honey or molasses
  • a healthy booster of your choice – for this smoothie I’d recommend cacao nibs, spirulina, coconut oil, or chia seeds

Directions

Combine all ingredients together in a blender and puree until smooth. What could be easier than that?!
