Craft breweries in (and near) Kelowna
Think beer is better than wine? Good news: Kelowna and its surrounding areas are home to many craft breweries—and they’re all perfect for lazy weekend afternoons, special occasions and family outings. Here are a few of our favourites:
Red Bird Brewing is a micro-brewery in downtown Kelowna. They often have live music and special events—check their Facebook page for up-to-date information.

Boundary Brewing Company is a nano-brewery located near Kelowna airport so, if you’re travelling to Kelowna by plane, it’s the perfect place to stop—whether that’s at the beginning or end of your trip. Expect German-style beers brewed with unusual equipment.

Beer paired with pizza is always a winning combination—and that’s exactly what Tree Brewing Beer Institute has on offer when you visit. There’s always new beers on tap as well as a seasonal and limited release options to take home.

What do you get when you mix a brewpub with a bowling alley? McCurdy’s Bowling and Freddy’s Brewpub, that’s what! Try one of the four brands always on tap, and stay for happy hour where pints are as little as $5 and the food menu is full of tasty options. Not to mention, challenging your friends to a game of bowling is a must!

A small-batch neighbourhood brewery located in north Kelowna. You’ll initially pop into Kettle River Brewing Co. to try their experimental beers, but you’ll be coaxed to stay longer because of the food from Provisions Kitchen. On a nice day, make the most of the patio area.

For a brewery close to La Casa, you can’t beat Kind Brewing. It’s the only brewery in West Kelowna and offers growler fills, tasting flights and samples.

There’s lots of reasons why you should visit Marten Brewing Company including the fact that they use no preservatives or additives in their beers. For non-alcoholic drinkers, they even have a rotating kombucha on tap.

For a mini-road trip, head to Penticton and stop for snacks and drinks at Cannery Brewing’s taproom. On offer in the taproom are Cannery Brewing’s all-natural beers, a selection of BC wine, hot drinks and yummy food options (the cheese board is especially tempting).
