Love BBQ? Here are some simple, great bbq recipes the whole family will love!

BBQ Lamb chops

Ingredients:
8 thick lamp chops

Stuffing
2 cups stale bread crumbs
½ cup celery chopped
½ cup raisins
4 green onions
1 clove garlic crushed
½ cup pinenuts toasted
¼ cup chopped fresh dill
¼ cup chopped fresh mint
2 Tbsp chopped parsley

Mustard butter
60g butter, melted
2 Tbsp french mustard
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tsp dried rosemary leaves

Instructions:

Stuffing – mix all ingredients well together

Mustard butter – Combine all ingredients and beat until smooth

Lamb chops – Cut pockets in the chops. Make sure to cut through to make the pocket large enough for the stuffing. Push the fresh stuffing into the pockets. Barbeque the chops and brush frequently with the Mustard butter.

Homemade BBQ Hamburgers

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 onion
1 egg
Squirt of ketchup
Salt pepper

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients together and form in to patties. Cook over direct heat for 2 minutes each side then move the patties to a lower-heat area of the grill and cook for an additional 3-6 minutes.

Tips for making patties
Make larger than the bun
Don’t over squeeze when you are making the paddies
Put a thumb print in the middle for more even cooking
Put seasoning on just before putting on the BBQ
Turn once and do not press down on patty while it is cooking
When cooked turn over and let sit for 1-2 minutes before serving

BBQ Vegetables

Ingredients:
Peppers
Zucchini
Asparagus

Instructions:
Chop vegetables in to large pieces,brush with olive oil and put in fridge if you plan to make them in advance. Put on grill and watch – turning from time to time.

BBQ Kabob Marinades

Pork Marinade
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup soya sauce
3 tbsps. Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic
Salt and pepper
Mix in blender poor into plastic bag

Beef Marinade
1 cup oil
¾ cup soya sauce
½ cup lemon juice
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic
Salt and pepper
Mix in blender and pour into plastic bag

Chicken Marinade
6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
4 large garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1-1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1-1/2 teaspoons lemon zest, from one lemon
Mix in blender and pour into plastic bag

Instructions:

Mix up some marinades – can mix up before you leave home.
Cut up pork, chicken and beef in cubes.
Put in each type of meet in a plastic bag with a different marinade.
Put in the fridge overnight or for a couple of days – you could even put the meat on the skewers before you leave home and still leave in the marinade.
Put meet on bamboo skewers and BBQ.
Place skewers on BBQ and turn until cooked.

BBQ Salmon

Take a piece of salmon filet and lay in a mixture of soy sauce and a few tablespoons of brown sugar. Leave soaking for about 15 minutes. Have BBQ heating. Place the salmon on the BBQ skin side down and cook for 15 minutes. When the salmon starts to have white fat rise to the top in the middle, this is a sign that the fish is cooked. Do not overcook the salmon. Serve with new potatoes and a green salad, greek salad or rice!
