
Beat the heat with this fresh, filling and local smoothie!
Ditch the multivitamin! With 160% of your daily recommended vitamin C per one cup of strawberries, not to mention, potassium, folic acid and fiber. Add in antioxidant rich oats and the fiber packed bananas, this smoothie is the perfect quick start to your busy day of summer relaxing!
You will need:
- 1 cup of milk, soy, almond or other non dairy beverage
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 1 banana
- 14 local Okanagan strawberries (frozen)
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of sugar, honey or other sweetener
Combine all ingredients into blender and blend to desired consistency. Pour into chilled glass and enjoy!
