Looking for something to do in the Okanagan this spring? Here are 7 May events in Kelowna happening this year. 

1) Tour & Taste Okanagan’s Wine Country 

May 02 – all day
Various locations throughout the Kelowna area

Tour the Okanagan’s beautiful wine country with a friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. Your wine tour will include complimentary pick up and drop off in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. This tour operates daily and features tastings at Volcanic Hills, The Hatch, Off The Grid, Indigenous World, and Rollingdale. 

2) Jodi B Concert 

May 06, 6PM – 8PM
The Vibrant Winery – 3240 Pooley Road, Kelowna B.C.

From live looping on the streets to performing at international festivals, Jodie B conducts the sound of a smoky blues bar in the electronic future. She orchestrates through a purple bass, a Fender Tele. and a 6 key harmonica belt, often performing alongside her sister Nique Blue, with mandolin, saxophone and guitar. 

The Vibrant Winery will also be featuring other guests throughout the month:

  • Major Manbo, Fri May 14 – 6:00pm 
  • KINGA Jazz, Fri May 21st – 5:30pm
  • Melissa Livingstone, Thur May 27th – 6:00pm 

3) Wine & Seafood Bar culinary pairing and Jazz Experience

Grizzli Winery – 2550 Boucherie Road, Kelowna B.C. 

Snag a limited spot at the Grizzli Winery fireside for an enhanced wine and food pairing experience with Shucked Oyster Co’s Seafood Bar and Jazz background music.

4) Mother’s Day Dinner 

May 09, 6PM
Mission Hill Winery – 1730 Mission Hill Road, Kelowna B.C.

This Mother’s Day, celebrate with a spectacular dinner seated in Mission Hill Winery’s stunning outdoor Loggia. Your experience begins with an Exhilaration Sparkling Rosé. Executive Sous Chef Adam Vaughn and his culinary team will then prepare an unforgettable, four-course dinner, paired with wines hand-picked by our Sommelier. 

5) Survivorman Nature Fest

May 09, 11AM – 4PM
Okanagan College – 1000 K. L. O. Rd, Kelowna, BC

This event is an environmental music festival featuring Les Stroud – AKA Survivorman. Les Stroud will also be performing a private concert Saturday evening for adults and hosting a Survivorman Hike on Sunday. There are limited spots available so be sure to sign up for this free event. 

6) Kelowna Lobster Fest

May 14, 2021 6PM – 11PM
The Canadian Brewhouse, 3030 Pandosy St. #130, Kelowna B.C.

Tickets are only $39.99 and include lobster, Caesar salad, baked mac and cheese, and garlic toast. Call the location to book your reservation or reserve online. COVID safety guidelines will be in effect all night. 

7) Tomato & Basil Festival 

May 23, 10AM – 5PM
The Kelowna Flower Farm – 3683 Berard Road, Kelowna B.C.

Browse a large selection of herbs with an unmatched assortment of basils while you enjoy fresh salsa and Latin music. There will be 20 varieties of tomato plants for sale, including heirloom tomatoes and “Sweetheart of the Patio”, a compact container variety.
