Refreshing Strawberry Smoothie When in the Okanagan

Smoothies are an easy and delicious way to help you stick to your New Years Resolutions while on family vacation in the Okanagan!

They can be made in just minutes, and they give you a great energy boost, at any time of day!

Below is a Strawberry Smoothie recipe we like – but one of the greatest things about smoothies is that they are oh so adaptable!  So think of this more as a guide, and get blending!

This is one of the simplest smoothie recipes out there!

Strawberry Smoothie

1 Cup Strawberry Yogurt (Vanilla works too)

1 Cup Vanilla Almond Milk (or any milk/milk substitute you prefer – even water!)

2 Cups Frozen Strawberries

2 Tbsp Lemon Juice (or any other citrus juice – orange, lime, etc!)

Fresh Strawberries for garnish

  1. Starting with the liquid ingredients, place everything into your blender. The hardest ingredients should be at the top (in this case, the frozen strawberries).
  2. Blend on high until smooth (about 2-3 mins)
  3. Scrape down the sides of the blender and then mix again, for about 30 seconds
  4. Pour into a cup, garnish with strawberries, and enjoy!

This recipe should make enough for 2 servings, so enjoy with a friend or save some for later!  You can store this smoothie in your fridge for 2 days, covered.
