Summer Events in Kelowna
When the sunny months come, Kelowna and Vernon are huge tourist attractions.
In June, Kelowna has many things happening. Here are a few of the bigger events, so put these dates in your calendar!
Friday June 1st-
12:00 pm– The FH&P and SOBC Kelowna 15th Annual Golf Classic at the Kelowna Springs Golf Course. This is a fundraising event to raise funds for the Special olympics of BC Kelowna, a non profit charitable organization.
4:30 pm– Watch The Carbons with special guest Jesse Blashill at the Frequency Winery in Kelowna. This trio is bound to have the crowd entertained and on their feet all night long.
Sunday June 3rd-
2:30 pm- Attend the 90’s Themed trivia night at the 97th street pub.
7:30 pm- Listen to The Lonely celebrating the music of Roy Orbison. This is at the Rotary Centre for the Arts in Kelowna. Tickets are $45.
Sunday June 10th-
8:00 pm- Come see Bryan Adams at Prospera Place in Kelowna. Tickets available online.
Sunday June 17th-
11:00 am- Boyd Fathers’ Day Car Show at City Park in Kelowna. Come on down to see all the cars,trucks, boats and motorcycles. There will be live entertainment and a special guest from the show Welder Up.
Thursday June 28th-
10:00 am- Summer opening day of Big White Ski Resort. There are many things to see and do at Big White during the summer. The snow is starting to melt. Take a ride on the chairlift for a scenic ride or hike one of the trails to the alpine. They also just opened a new bike park.
Sunday July 1st-
8:30 am- Canada Day at Big White. Celebrate Canadas 151th Birthday. Kick the day off with a free pancake breakfast in the village from 8:30-10:30. After the breakfast there will be a scavenger hunt in the village, along with loose and lucy Moose. At 1:30 join them for a chorus of happy birthday and grab a slice of birthday cake.
Saturday July 14th-
9:00 am- Run the Mudd, Sweat and Tears Kelowna 8km obstacle course race. You will be crawling, climbing, swimming, carrying and dragging yourself through a series of objects: up, over, under, through and around hill and dale.
Friday July 27th-
12:00 pm- Attend the Center of Gravity Fest. This is Canadas Hottest Beach Festival from July 27th-29th in Kelowna’s City Park. You can order your tickets online.
Saturday July 28th-
11:00 am- Get you live music and Cider tasting in at the Ciderfest at Big White. Be sure to check out the apple bobbing, oversized games and the henna booth.
