Nothing will ruin a vacation faster than a painful sunburn. It is important to take precautions to avoid burns and long-term issues like skin damage and skin cancer.

Here are some sun safety tips!

Stay in the Shade:
When the sun is high in the sky, find yourself some shade. The sun is strongest from 10pm-4pm. The sun rays can sneak through and burn you even if it is cloudy!

Wear Sunscreen
Pick a broad spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher and reapply often. Don’t forget to cover your whole body!

Wear a Hat
Keep the sun off your face and the back of your neck.

Wear Sunglasses
The bigger the better to keep your delicate eye area safe.

Wear Loose Fitting Cover-ups
It’s a good idea to cover-up to deflect the suns rays, a long cotton sundress or a loose fitting t-shirt and long shorts are a good idea!
