British Columbia is home to a variety of breweries and cideries.  Haven’t had a chance to taste them all yet?  Here’s your chance! Ciderfest is this weekend, July 27, and is the perfect place to expand your beer and cider palate.

Take a trip to Big White Ski Resort between 11am and  4pm on Saturday July 27 and enjoy tasting cold, fresh beverages from across BC.  Vendors could include local favourites:  Merridale Cidery (Cobble Hill), Summerland Cidery (Summerland) and Truck 59 Ciderhouse (Kelowna).

Not so keen on cider?  No worries, you can still enjoy Ciderfest! There’s usually a beer or two on offer, as well as an entertainment stage which features a number of live performances to keep the whole family happy.  Not to mention other fun activities such as apple bobbing, a craft market and plenty of games for everyone.

If you’re planning on drinking, then it’s important to pick up your wristband and tokens from the Village Centre Mall.  Pricing is as follows:

Tasting Tokens:

$1.50 each; 10 for $15; 20 for $30

Spring March Kelowna

Upcoming March & Easter Events in Kelowna

Spring is here, Easter is just around the corner and we can see that sun peaking out from behind the clouds.  There’s no better way than getting ready for the summer, than by booking a short spring vacation!  This March there’s lots happening in Kelowna, even more of a reason to book a last-minute trip…

  • KFX 2018 – March 23 – 25

Are you a fan of comic books, cosplay and gaming? Come to Kelowna at the end of March and sign up to attend this 3-day comic convention.  There are multiple special guests and events to keep you entertained the whole weekend – get to know some of BC’s best comedians, improvisers and performers! Watch a live dragons and dungeons performance or an exciting lip-sync battle – what could be more fun than that?

  • 2018 Sport Chek Speed Nation SBX Nationals – March 21 – 26

If you’re into winter sports, and in particular Snowboarding, then you won’t want to miss an opportunity to see North America’s top riders. Attend the Sport Chek Speed Nation SBX Nationals at Big White Ski Resort and cheer on your favourites.  There’s no better way to get inspiration for next season than seeing the speed, technique and dedication of other riders!

  • Silver Star SKOLF tournament – March 23 – 25

Have you ever heard of the game SKOLF? Well, turns out it’s a hybrid of playing S.K.A.T.E and golf.  Players have to perform specified tricks on each “hole” or feature.  Register to take part yourself (if you’re up to the challenge!) or grab a drink and watch your family/friends go head to head.  This is the perfect excuse for a day out on the mountain.

  • Cuvee and Cupcakes – Easter event – March 31 – April 1

Spend some time at The View Winery, located in a rustic 1922 apple packing house, over Easter and participate in their special Cuvee and Cupcakes event. There will be cupcakes from CupCasions to accompany the crisp wines from The View.  If you want an excuse to be indulgent, then this is it!

  • Easter Pony rides – April 2

Keep the kids occupied this Easter Monday by treating them to a horse ride. Cattail Creek Farms are dressing up their ponies in full-on Easter attire for this special event!  Rides are 15 minutes during the morning and are just $15, so make sure you book your spot in advance.
