Santa Claus

Where to meet Santa in Kelowna

The Holidays are fast approaching and with all the excitement, the kids are starting to ask about Santa Claus!  Kelowna is a great place to meet Santa; there are many locations he is visiting and taking pictures with children and families.  Here are our suggestions:

Check the Schedule

Want to track Santa’s movements in the city?  Well, he has put his schedule up online!

Take your the whole family to Bosleys

Bring your pets to see Santa on November 17 at Bosleys on Lakeshore and also November 18 at the Bosleys on Glenmore. Bring a minimum $10 donation for the Okanagan Cat Coalition! For one day only at each location, it will photos will be taken on a first come, first serve from 11am – 4pm.

Celebrate at the Christmas in Pandosy Village Event

Mr Claus is also coming to Pandosy Village. Visit him from 11-2 and get your pictures taken. This is a great whole day event with local vendors, Christmas carolers, retail discounts, door prizes and more!  Happening on November 24, this is an event worth attending.

Visit your local Shopping Mall

Meet Santa at your local mall. Usually there are specific hours and times of day when Santa will be in attendance, so make sure you check this in advance!  Photos with Santa operate on a first come first served basis AND the lines can get big so arrive early to guarantee your spot.

Christmas tree

Don’t forget to make a Christmas Wish!  We hear Santa likes to take requests.  Why not ask for a summer vacation at La Casa in one of our cottages

But that doesn’t mean you have to hibernate in your sweatpants and oversized sweater until spring comes. Here are some wearable ideas to make it through the winter months in style without getting frost bitten.

  1. Ski jackets: designed for the slopes the traditional ski jacket doesn’t have to be hidden in your closet and only taken out when you hit the hills. With several companies now making cute, wearable ski coats, you can get daily use out of that pricey winter coat.
  2. Long sleeves: believe it or not, your favourite cozy oversized tee with the sleeves that extend past your fingertips is in style this winter! Stay warm, comfy and in style, who knew?
  3. Puffy coats: that puffy down North Face jacket you’ve hidden in the back of your closet all those years? Finally in style! Haul that lumpy, oversized down coat out of storage and choose warmth and style this year!
  4. Trench coats: they get a bad rap, but the floor length button down with the belted waisted are IN.
  5. Turtleneck dresses: just because it’s snowing doesn’t mean you have to throw your dresses into hibernation! Try a long sleeved turtle necked knit dress with a pair of stockings and knee high boots. Cozy and chic!
