Water activities in the Okanagan
You can’t go to Lake Okanagan in the summer without partaking in some fun activities – and it’s the ideal season for making memories out on the water!
Hydroflight sports are a category of sport in which you can fly in the sky with a water jet. Lift and movement are controlled by a person riding on a propulsion device. Hydrofly Kelowna has fun and athletic instructors. They’ll teach you how to flyboard safely – most people get the hang of it after just a few minutes. All you need is your bathing suit and a towel. They can accommodate large groups so bring your friends. They also have hydroflight LED shows at night, with LED suits and music, or daytime shows complete with costumed performers and tricks!
Kelowna Boat Rentals offers a mobile delivery service that makes renting a boat quick and easy. They simply meet your group at a boat launch, complete a rental agreement, make sure you are completely confident in operating, and send you off to enjoy the lake. Their boats are able to accommodate up to 9 people (based on weight of persons and gear). You do not require a Boating License to rent their boats.
Sun Wave Boat Rentals is based in Kelowna and services the whole of Lake Okanagan. They deliver and launch the boat at your location of choice. All safety equipment is included in your rental and also a full introduction to the boat itself as well as a quick summary of safe boat operation. You can also rental a tube, banana or wakeboard. You do not require a Boating License to rent their boats.
Lake Okanagan Marina is conveniently located close to La Casa and offers a variety of equipment such as boat rentals, hydro bikes, water skis, tubes, knee boards, as well as paddle boards and kayaks. Their operating hours are as follows: May – 7 days a week: 10am – 4pm; June & September – 7 days a week: 10am – 6pm; July & August – 7 days a week: 9am – 8pm.
